OOTD: December 2023 Edition

After I wrote my Halloween outfit blog post, I decided to do it again for Christmas. I originally was just going to do it for a week but then it got a little out of hand and I decided to do the entire month of December.

If you’ve been following along with my instagram story, you’ve seen that I’ve been posting them, however, here I’m going to get a little more in depth.

Dec 1: For the first day of December I wore an Elsa inspired outfit of snowflake leggings from SweetLegs, grey dress, white sweater, Swarovski earrings, Doc Martens, Colourpop Elsa palette, Colourpop Elsa lipgloss, and a braid. I loved this outfit because it was so cozy.

Dec 2: Day 2 was my annual tradition with Andrea called Sistermas so I wanted to dress festive. Christmas plaid pixie pants from Old Navy, white turtleneck, ornament earrings, Docs, Colourpop Elsa palette, Maybelline lipstick, half updo.

Dec 3: Day 3 was a lazy day so I chilled out in blue and gold leggings from SweetLegs, purple sweater, ornament earrings, and Docs.

Dec 4: Day 4 was black plaid pixie pants from Old Navy, star sweater, star Swarovski earrings, Docs, Colourpop Elsa palette, Colourpop Elsa lipstick, topknot.

Dec 5: Day 5 I wore black pixies, white and black wintery sweater, owl with santa hat earrings, Docs, Colourpop Elsa palette, Maybelline lipstick, bun. Except for the earrings I wore on Dec 1 , Dec 4, and one pair I’ll mention later, all the earrings I wore this month came from the advent calendar Angela made me.

Dec 6: Day 6 was christmas plaid pixie pants, black shirt, white sweater, gingerbread men earrings, Docs, Urban Decay Naked palette, Maybelline lipstick, bun.

Dec 7: Last outfit of week one was black pixies, black and grey sweater with rectangles on it, gay circle earrings, Docs, Urban Decay Naked palette, Jeffree Star  lipstick (it was a gift given to me before he lost all my respect), bun.

Dec 8: First outfit of week two was also the day of my department Christmas party so I wore candy cane tights from Snag, black dress, grey sweater (I love this sweater. It was a gift and I swear it all the time), present earrings, Docs, ELF rainbow palette, Maybelline lipstick, bun.

Dec 9: Another tradition, day 9 was ginmas. It’s my friends’ annual Christmas party where we drink gin and watch terrible Christmas movies. I wore jeans, Angela’s ugly Christmas sweater (that is definitely more cute than ugly), penguin earrings (that my friend Sam almost stole), penguin Christmas socks, Urban Decay Naked palette and Colourpop Elsa palette, Maybelline lipstick, hair half up.

Dec 10: Day 10 was another chill quiet day and I didn’t leave the house so I wore blue pjs, fuzzy Christmas socks, and a bun.

Dec 11: Day 11 was Christmas pixies, black top, grey sweater, hot chocolate earrings, Docs, Urban Decay Naked palette, Maybelline lipstick, half down hair. I liked this outfit but it really needed a necklace to pull it all together, which I didn’t realize until I got to work.

Dec 12: Day 12 was colourful dot leggings from SweetLegs, grey dress, black blazer, white scarf, snowman earrings, Docs, Colourpop Elsa palette, Maybelline lipstick, bun.

Dec 13: Day 13 was Taylor Swift’s birthday and without even planning it I wore a very Speak Now outfit. I wore black plaid pixies, lavender sweater, purple scarf, gay heart earrings, Docs, Colourpop Anna palette, Colourpop Elsa lipstick, bun

Dec 14: Last day of week two was black plaid pixies, black sweater, grey scarf, gay ball earrings, Docs, Urban Decay Naked palette, Maybelline lipstick, bun.

Dec 15: First day of week three was our work Christmas party and I wore candy cane tights, Angela’s Christmas sweater, black skirt, Santa earrings, Docs, Colourpop Anna palette, Maybelline lipstick, half down. I always get so many compliments on these tights. For the work Christmas party, Andrea and I both wore them since most of our friend group ordered them at the same time.

Dec 16: It was a lazy day and admittedly, I was wearing raggedy old PJs and didn’t get around to taking a picture.

Dec 17: Another lazy day, but I did get dressed to go to a movie. I wore striped leggings, black dress, grey sweater, coat, scarf Maria made me, gay triangle earrings, Docs, bun.

Dec 18: Day 18 was black plaid pixies, black shirt, teal sparkly sweater that my dad bought me years ago, scarf Maria made me, cat Santa earrings, Docs, Urban Decay Naked palette, Maybelline lipstick, top knot.

Dec 19: Day 19 was Christmas pixies, white polka dot blouse I bought in Vegas, black blazer, cat Santa earrings, Docs, Urban Decay Naked palette, Maybelline lipstick, top knot. This was honestly one of my favourite outfits of the whole month. I had a weird dry patch on my forehead that was bright red, that made me feel a little less cute, but the outfit was fire.

Dec 20: Day 20 was candy cane tights, white turtleneck, white sparkly scarf, candy cane earrings, Docs, Colourpop Elsa palette, Maybelline lipstick, top knot.

Dec 21:  Last day of week three was black jeans, navy turtleneck, scarf Maria made me, large gay heart earrings, Docs, Colourpop Elsa palette, Colourpop Elsa lipstick, ponytail.

Dec 22: First day of week four was also my last day of work. I wore jeans, black shirt, grey sweater, colourful sparkly scarf, snowflake earrings, Urban Decay Naked palette, Colourpop Elsa lipstick, bun.

Dec 23: Day 23 was a travel day. Angela and I were on a bus to my parents place for the holidays. I wore jeans, Star Wars Christmas shirt, Christmas fuzzy socks, grey sweater, bun.

Dec 24: Christmas Eve I wore candy cane tights, grey wrap dress, Christmas tree earrings, Colourpop Elsa palette, Colourpop Elsa lipstick, half updo. Admittedly I didn’t stay in this outfit for long, but we went for a walk and ran errands in it and got so many compliments (and also a judgemental look from someone) for my tights.

Dec 25: Christmas Day was pretty chill and we just had people over at my parents house so I wore Christmas pixies, Christmas sweater, Kate Spade bow earrings (that Angela also got me, but they weren’t a part of the advent calendar), bun.

Dec 26: For Christmas my parents got me PJs so for Boxing Day I wore the striped pjs, Christmas tree earrings, and a bun.

Dec 27: Day 27 was another travel day. We took the bus back to Vancouver and I wore jeans, black shirt, grey sweater, fancy bitch socks, bun.

Dec 28: Dec 28 I had a job interview so I actually dressed nice and wore black plaid pixies, a blouse, Docs, snowflake earrings, Colourpop Elsa palette, Maybelline lipstick, and hair half up.

Dec 29: I was just running errands on the 29 and skipped doing an outfit of the month.

Dec 30: On Dec 30 I went on a movie date with Andrea, and then took myself to a second movie afterwards. I wore jeans, a teal shirt, my new white sweater I got for Christmas, a white scarf, rainbow earrings, Docs, and a bun.

Dec 31: Last day of the challenge and 2023 and even though we had a chill night at home playing games with Doug and Andrea, I wore a sparkly blue dress I bought in Vegas, my wedding flats, Kate Spade bow earrings, Colourpop Elsa palette, Maybelline lipstick, and my hair half up.

I definitely will never do every day of December again, but next year maybe I’ll do the twelve days of Christmas. Was fun, but a little too much.
